Conservative Commentator Says AIG Canceled His Insurance Over His Social Media Posts
Deplatforming reaches new heights of absurdity.
Conservative commentator and former baseball star Curt Schilling says that AIG canceled his insurance policy over his “social media profile,” a new level of deplatforming not yet seen.
“We will be just fine, but wanted to let Americans know that @AIGinsurance canceled our insurance due to my “Social Media profile,” tweeted Schilling.
“The agent told us it was a decision made by and with their PR department in conjunction with management,” he added. [rest at link]

Did a single person involved in the riots lose their insurance?
I can't find a single article to suggest anyone did and as we all know the vast majority of the perps were never even prosecuted!
Lest anyone be foolish enough to claim AIG is a "private company" and can therefor do whatever they want, AIG was slated to collapse during the 2008 financial crisis but was bailed out by US taxpayers for $182 billion during the Obama administration.
We saved this company from collapse and this is allegedly how they repay us?

I would not doubt it.
We’re all “good Germans” now.
Democrats are going to have to delete all references to McCarthyism and Joe McCarthy in history books
In before the ignoramuses chime in that they don’t care because they don’t use AIG insurance.
AIG maybe a private company but it has a contract with Curt Schilling and many others. Cancelling a contact unilaterally for reasons not permitted in the contract, is I believe a breach of contact and Mr. Schilling should sue the bastards.

And when we start fighting our way out of it they will call us dangerous and violent extremists.
The Left has an insatiable desire for power and control over people and they will stop at nothing to get what they want.
Given that reality we are left with few choices to preserve our freedoms and way of life.
Raheem Kassam on Twitter:
"The National Guard are asleep on the floor of the U.S. Capitol. Literally. They’re being used for a fake “terrorism” narrative in the same way the intel community was used for a fake Russia narrative. Expect a false flag in the next 36 hours."
[Will it be a false-flag truck bomb, or a false-flag mass-shooting?]
If they have dropped him for his race or gender, he would have lawyers lining up to sue for discrimination.
I know political affiliation is a protected class, but is political speech?
This is probably the first push we should be making from a legal standpoint: protect political speech.
Make it illegal to discriminate against someone based on their political speech.
No, we won’t get it through at the federal level, but there there are plenty of states where it can be codified at the state level.
A travesty!
Insurance companies have no business monitoring or judging social media content.
Wait until they figure out how to target FReepers.
Ever deal with insurance companies? Their policies are written so that they almost always have ways of avoiding having to pay claims. “Sorry, that type of coverage is not in your policy” is the typical response.
AIG probably had small print that allows them to drop a policy I would think.
I guess I can kind of see their point. Conservatives like to tell the truth whenever they can. As a result they are prone to drive somewhat faster than liars because they have to tell someone the truth as soon as they can. Therefore, they are at risk to have accidents because of their haste. Since they are driving risks, it would be best to not insure them.
There, perfect liberal reasoning.
Were you not paying attention the last 2 months? Judges don’t care about facts, laws or the Constitution anymore.
An insurance contract typically goes from year to year. My guess is that AIG simply refused to renew the contract for the upcoming year. That would not be a breach of contract.
