It’s only big if they actually own the stock. And the price of a stock doesn’t affect day to day operation of a company. Just ability to raise capital in the future. Apple probably doesn’t need capital unless it want’s to buy the world.

Management action that hurts the price of a stock would be considered irresponsible at best and financial malfeasance at worse.
For stockholders, who knows when they might need to sell. Having management damage a stock price due to virtue signaling is downright embarrassing.
