The differences between what the next regime has promised vs the relatively halcyon days of Clinton and to a lesser extent even "The Great Destroyer" (Obama) are vast..these people want to:
All of this spending will not only cause inflation to SKYROCKET, it will make a good chunk of the hard earned $$ any of us have managed to save (for retirement or other purposes) worth much less - perhaps to the point it's not worth much more than Monopoly money. You simply can't pump trillions to tens of trillions of dollars into ANY economy and preserve the value of your currency.
NO President - not even the "Great Destroyer" Obama was THIS radical. We candidly won't even RECOGNIZE the country any of us grew up in unless someone like Manchin has the common, good sense to stop the insanity before the Marxists can implement any of it.
Your retirement savings, specifically your 401K, is going to be confiscated for "reparations."
All of those things will certainly happen, but the ordinary person will feel the bite from some less overt acts, which will be coordinated with private firms.
Biden has already campaigned on repealing the 2005 protection of lawful commerce in arms act, which will bankrupt all manufacturers of all types of firearms.
But even before that, the credit card processing companies have already shown themselves willing to remove their services from gun and ammo dealers. I’d look for that to gain steam in the first and second quarters of this year, starting with “assault” rifles, but applied as broadly as possible. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that individuals, as well as businesses will be dropped if you buy “too many” guns or “too much” ammo.
People have also been “blacklisted” from banking services during the Obama years — though fairly narrowly applied. Expect that to be more broadly applied as well, probably by using the “no-fly” list concept that has been used this week against the “Capitol rioters”. The left has long advocated using the no-fly list to prohibit purchases of firearms, but there’s no reason that they would limit themselves to that.
In short, while I’m expecting all of the “big” moves that you outline, I’m also expecting a much more immediate effort to severly limit currently legal commercial activities, and that there will be no recourse though the courts or the political system.
