Not reversed. In fact they got another internal email reminding them their contract forbids them from talking to the press.
Since talk radio is a right-wing ghetto (the left have everything else, so they don’t need AM radio), to do this would be the end of Cumulus’s talk radio revenues. So I’m not surprised this was reversed. Cumulus does have to worry about radio frequencies being taken away. However, I have to think the GOP will see this for the power grab it is and start fulminating against the Democrats. Let’s face it - in a Red October scenario, they would be the first to go. The Mensheviks (the Russian equivalent of the GOP) all ended up dead at Bolshevik hands or in exile.
