One of my favorite submarines was the USS Blackfin (SS-322).
The patch was a Blackfin fish as a cop swinging a baton. Great boat for fight the cold war. That’s what the cop was suggesting.
Every unit has a unit patch and multipule non approved patches. I was Army so I can’t give a reference AF patch... but “WE” had lots of crazy patches out there. Patches were velcorwed on so it was easy to swap “Non” approved patches...sometimes our patches were like the middle finger to the higher ups... :)
