If big tech can shut down a sitting US president they can sure shut down Merrile and Macron. Maybe they are not like it where this coup is going (even if they had a hand in it) and what it means for themselves.

Torn on this.

It seems to upshot here is that governments should control these platforms and not private companies.

But as we all know, the lines between private companies and government get more blurred with each passing day.

I wonder if it would get it through the Twitter owner’s thick, partisan skull, if both Germany and France decided to suspend twitter in their countries for the time being?

They are also shocked at how widespread voter fraud is in American elections and the Democrats opposition to voter IDs but you wont’ read any of that in the US press.

One has a staged event in its history to justify targetting Jews. And the other has the storming of a political citadel as a national refrain. Macaroni and Snorkel

Germany and France are shocked over Twitter’s decision to permanently ban President Trump from the platform, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel saying through a spokesman that lawmakers should set rules governing free speech, not private technology companies.

President Trump can sue Twitter, maybe get billions.

Section 230 of the Telecommunications Act says Twitter can be stripped of protections against liability because of censorship against Trump. Trump could also sue Twitter for defamation.

They aint real friendly with them over there.

The gubermint wants complete control and these shenanigans buy the big tech companies will result in a huge blowback and eventual take over. They’ll have to pay big bucks to offer their services to these gubermints or they wont get to offer their services.

“Shocked, shocked, There’s gambling going on in this establishment”, as the Tweeter and Facebook reps give their payoffs to the French and German government officials.

Big Money & Power are held by the left . . . in contrast to the oft-proclaimed angst of the left’s theatrics in “the arts.”

Shocked, my derriere.

The countries that gave Europe Bertelsmann Arvato, the link tax, the meme ban are shocked?

Hardly.

But they are pleased.

Very, very pleased.
