I think you’re correct. The loss of lives and livelihoods will exceed those caused by covid-19.
But here’s the thing. The lockdowns and lockouts got Trump out of office so mission accomplished.

My employer laid off 2.5% of our workforce last week. To put it in perspective, that was 625 people here in the US.
