Rep. Linda Sánchez says she's poised to introduce legislation that would ban virtually everything — "even a bench" — from bearing President Trump's name. “I don't believe that a seditious occupant of the White House should have — ever have anything named after him," the California Democrat said of Trump in an interview with People published Monday, referring to Trump's efforts to cast doubt on the results of the 2020 election and his words of encouragement to a crowd of supporters before they laid siege to the Capitol on Wednesday. “I don't think that he deserves any of the benefits that are conferred on prior presidents,” Sánchez said.
"I am working on a bill that would mean that nothing — not even a bench, no airport, no highway, no school — nothing — ever bear the name of this traitor," she added. Sánchez opened up about her experience using desks to barricade the doors inside her rooms in the Rayburn House Office Building in attempt to keep the growing mob out. The lawmaker said she and her chief of staff grabbed baseball bats she stores in her office as a player on the Congressional Women's Softball team as rioters were "gleefully desecrating" the Capitol in an effort to prevent the certification of President-elect Joe Biden's Electoral College victory.

I’m a female who worked 25 years as an officer and Sergeant in NY State Corrections...male prisons only. I never backed down from the biggest, baddest M’F’er in the jail...and never would. Once you stood up to them, they respected you, and left you alone. You can deal with people without having to beat them into submission by using your brain, and your mouth. Even with my superiors in uniform, and the Administrators. I spoke the truth so often to them, that when they saw me coming, they turned and walked the other way, and that was fine with me, because I wasn’t in the mood to hear their lies.

More seriously — no building or road should be named after a politician. At best, they took money from people and had it spent on the building or road. They did not pay for the road or building themselves.

I predict that Trump’s face will be carved on Mountains, Statures and Universities will bear his name and many schools will have his name. His Library and Tomb in Florida will be tourist attraction, his wife an icon of civility. Streets and towns will change their name for his. Not Now, but in a few years, when the Hate Trump will morph into the Hate Liberals and Democrats. Over reach will be their undoing. After the Civil War, many in the south hated Jefferson Davis for leading them into a ruinous war. Then The Radical Republicans blamed Davis for Lincolns Assassination and jailed him, welding manacles to his wrists. The cry went up, he was Manacled for our sins! turning him into a martyr and a beloved figure in the South. This could happen to Trump.
