This delay may signal that compliance of the military with an order from POTUS to enact the Insurrection Act has met with enough resistance to require further planning. There is no way the President can declare the Insurrection Act without having the right agencies of necessary force in place, or possibly some overseas operation has been postponed due to logistical problems.
The first lady’s statement earlier sounded to me like a mixture of sincere sentiments and disinformation meant to fool certain DC onlookers. It had the tone of, “and Donald is of course about to resign.” A negotiating ploy? Possibly.
When this announcement does finally happen, there will be something major, dare I say huge?
The 23 hours can be interpreted as 23 hours to the televised broadcast, not 2300h Tuesday.
Stop with the Insurrection Act crap.
