A media company that employs right wing talk-radio hosts, including Mark Levin, Dan Bongino, and Ben Shapiro, circulated a memo after the pro-Trump riots on Capitol Hill telling hosts to dial down allegations of election fraud, or else face termination.
Cumulus Media sent the internal memo to employees on Wednesday, according to Inside Music Media. The Atlanta-based company owns 416 radio stations throughout the country, many using a talk-radio format with local and national right-wing personalities.
“We need to help induce national calm NOW,” Cumulus’s executive vice president of content Brian Philips wrote in the memo. The company “will not tolerate any suggestion that the election has not ended. The election has been resolved and there are no alternate acceptable ‘paths.’”
Philips added, “If you transgress this policy, you can expect to separate from the company immediately.”

Make no mistake, there are some good stations and ownership groups, though their numbers are dwindling rapidly. First station I worked for after college was owned by by a guy who “came up through the ranks” and eventually operated several AM/FM outlets in western Arkansas. Didn’t pay very much, but he was fair and did a professional job programming his stations.
Getting fired from full-time radio gig #2 was a blessing in disguise. I shudder to think about trying to make a living in the business these days; it was cut-throat back then, can only imagine what its like 40 years later. If you have superior talent and get a few breaks, you can still make a living—if you don’t mind poor benefits, no job security and a worthless retirement plan.
My goal in radio was to get to a large market, preferably to one of the network-owned stations. They paid well, and had actual benefit and retirement packages. And thanks to union rules (primarily on the tech side) many of the folks with a little seniority remained in the Disney and CBS retirement and health plans when they sold their remaining stations to Citadel (now Cumulus) and Entercom, respectively. As for talent, AFTRA sold them down the river long ago...

Re Can Cumulus even survive without Conservative talk radio? NO. If they lose Russ, then Mark Levin will follow ASAP, possibly Chris Plante and possibly the little squishy but loveable Larry O’Connor.
The advertisers will go with the Rus/Mark/Chris/Larry group if they want to survive financially and not face a massive conservative boycott that will cripple them, or even bring them down (as well as Cumulus).
The Cumulus statement was stupid, insulting, childish and a spit in the face of its listeners. I hope this clown Phillips pays a big price for it.
Just imagine a whole new radio network with Rush, Chris, Larry and Mark core. I’m all for it.

It was a video purporting that Trump was going to restore the power of America back to the people on January 20. I figured it would be taken down. Some have said that it was actually a rework of the 2017 inauguration speech.

Mark Levin denied this on his Monday night show. More fake news put out by the Washington Post and then repeated in the corporate media echo chamber. They never even bothered to contact him or Dan Bongino to confirm or deny it.
Remember when CB radio was the in thing? License was required for those too but they became so common they couldn't enforce it. Cell phones replaced them rather quickly because they didn't have the distance challenge that low powered CB's did. Be cool if someone figured how to bounce CB off those cell towers.
You mean sort of like Trey Gowdy Doodie? Or maybe some big Booms from Hannity, or for that matter Donald Trump himself who has promised us astounding information. He has eight days to do something, anything, or tell us what he can't. I suspect he has been hogtied by all the traitors he surrounded himself with and failed to recognize them for what they were.

No, they cannot. Liberal media makes no one money. ALL AM stations are conservative talk radio because there are no liberal shows that make money.
What have you seen that makes you optimistic about how people are going to respond? All I have seen is people willing to suffer the lockdown and useless face masks and they even have neighbors that will snitch on them if they violate their rules.
All I have seen is "stand by" from Linda 2.0 and celebration/condemnation by Mitch and his royal gang of thieves.
Then why must they have permission from the Government to operate?
Apparently they don't end. Remember the doctor that got his ticket pulled for attending a
rally? They are currently looking to disbar Rudy in New York, so they seem to have all the power they need. Especially since they have the courts in their pocket.
