They are scared. Otherwise, what’s the hurry? Only thing I can see is that they are so afraid of what Trump can do in the next 9 days that they’re still trying to impeach him.

This is correct. They are harnessing the anger over 6 Jan capitol building cluster f*&^. Striking while the iron is hot. The whole "they fear us" is fantasy. The problem here is that they DON'T fear us. The people punching you in the face while you stand with your hands in your pockets are not afraid of you.
