Since when did they change it from "Trump-incited" to "Trump-fueled"?
Perhaps the AP noticed WaPo's timeline, which clearly shows that nobody who heard his speech could have covered the 45-min walk from his speech to the Capitol in time for the confrontation with the police, given when the tussling first occurred. Anyone who appears in those videos from the beginning of the melee would have had to leave Trump's speech at least 5 minutes *before* the speech even started. (Maybe the latest excuse is that they didn't NEED to hear his words before going on the attack ... maybe the red of the MAGA hats triggered them like a red cape does to a bull, so it's still all Trump's Fault anyway).
BTW, WaPo didn't explicitly state what their timeline proved. They didn't even tell readers how long it takes to travel that distance. In fact, they still tried to blame the fighting on Trump's speech, probably hoping readers would not figure the truth out for themselves from the timeline they put together.
