Quebec's month-long curfew is now in effect, in an attempt to curb its surge in COVID-19 cases. This makes it the first Canadian province to instate a curfew as a public health measure. But the new rules were immediately met with protests, as well as concerns police are being too heavy-handed with restrictions. Mike Le Couteur reports.

Things seem to be working backwards at The Commons on St. Anthony nursing home in Auburn, New York. Vaccinating people is supposed to reduce or end coronavirus deaths. Right? But, at The Commons, such deaths are reported to have occurred only after residents began receiving coronavirus vaccinations.
James T. Mulder wrote Saturday at syracuse.com that until December 29 there had been no coronavirus deaths at The Commons. December 29, when deaths of residents with coronavirus began occurring at The Commons, is also, Mulder’s article discloses, seven days days after the nursing home began giving coronavirus vaccinations to residents, with 80 percent of residents so far having been vaccinated.
Over a period of less than two weeks since December 29, Mulder relates that 24 coronavirus-infected residents at the 300-bed nursing home have died.
Is the timing just a strange coincidence?

I live in California and everyone in our house got COVID. I haven’t been to a restaurant in 6 months! We didn’t get it from eating out, eating outdoors, going to bars, we didn’t have any family of friends over for Christmas. We actually got it from someone who worked with someone else who got it from his brother, who probably ate at a restaurant or had a big Thanksgiving dinner with more than 6 total guests.
I went and got tested twice just to be sure I actually had it. It wasn’t that bad. I had a headache, coughed a bit, spent several days resting a lot. Some fever and fatigue. Didn’t lose my sense of taste although the rest of the people in the house did. Anyway, I am over it, it’s gone, I can’t get it again and I can’t transmit it, but I still have to stand 6 feet away from everyone and wear a mask.
They got it from the people that were vaccinating them. That is irony.

118, or 0.7% of deaths in Canada are people between the ages of 40 and 49.

3, or 0.0% of deaths in Canada are people between the ages of 0 and 19.
People under 49 account for a grand total of 192 deaths in a country of 36 million people.. So I guess the question is... Who’s letting all the the nursing home residents over 80 go out on the town after 8 at night in Quebec, where over half of Canada’s death total comes from?
