This is moronic. Golf is the ultimate old, right-wing white guy sport, by orders of magnitude. PGA is setting itself up for serious revenue declines. I expect the guy who made this decision to become a former employee when that happens.
I’d say it’s a PGA decision maker taking orders from some twisted government official. Tiger Woods is effectively gone from the PGA and he was responsible for driving purses up into the stratosphere. The players today are boring clones of each other so look for purses to be dropping already. So now sure wouldn’t be the time to alienate a giant chunk of your audience. If this is true they’ve lost a fan in me.
And even the guy that broke the color barrier in Tiger was friends with Trump and played with him. So he will be cancelled as well.
