I am more concerned about those who did not object to certification like my House Rep Nancy Mace and Sens Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham. At least those CYA votes showed some fear of the people who put them in office.
Disappointed with Jim Jordan this morning on his weak stance on the impending impeachment. He is pleading for unity instead of denouncing it in the strongest terms. Many Reps are afraid of going on the record and defending Trump. He committed no crime nor did the vast majority of Trump supports who attended the rally.
Moreover, those who entered the Capitol were mostly peaceful with very little damage being done. Anyone notice any graffiti? Destruction of the House and Senate chambers? Hopefully, we will find out more about ANTIFA and BLM involvement. This was a setup.
Agree. There is no moral equivalence between a few broken windows and an election stolen in a bipartisan manner. If Congress doesn’t want broken windows they should not certify stolen elections.
None of them objected when it really mattered in November. They allowed the Trump hating GOPe to play hot potato with the states and run out the clock. What happened in the House at the end was purely CYA since obviously the GOP was in the minority and not able to control anything.
Jim Jordan has outed himself as controlled opposition. They are all terrified they will never be able to win another election without the surrender caucus wing of the GOP. Now is not the time to back down but sadly many don’t want to face the ugly reality of our situation.
