Reuters does seem to prove that the video was not taken on Jan. 6 at the Capitol but then also publishes this...
“Alaina Gertz, Public Affairs Specialist of the Washington MPD, told Reuters via email that “the Metropolitan Police Department does not act in the capacity of private security for any group””
... which is clearly seen happening in the video. But Alaina Gertz’ statement seems to be misleading anyway since the guy taking the video said the escort was by State Troopers not the MPD.
