I think one problem with the “rioters” is that they created a huge distraction from the protest against accepting the electors. I would rather have had a deep debate about the election irregularities than panicked reaction to “rioters.”
I’m thinking that’s why antifa infiltrated the MAGA crowds and pushed through initially. To distract from what the Congress was supposed to be doing. How can you debate rationally when you are terrified?
That was exactly their objective, and the chicken shite repub senators especially— folded like a cheap suit. No bravery, not even patriotism or Constitutional Oath they took. Disgusting. The objective was a threat, and FEAR. Not all responded this way, nor in the House. Particularly Steve Scalise, and certainly Ted Cruz was not hindered- but they busted up his hard won coalition of 30 Senators.
The POINT of the objection was the unConstitutionality of the State’s illegal voting process and certain fraud.
