They will probably do confiscation remotely, as the do with taxes. They don’t send a “revenoor” around with a stern look and an account pad. Unless they know you’re not home, they won’t enter the premises. And if you’re not home, you’re probably at work. “Nice job you got there, hope nothin’ happens to it.”
It’s all about how far they can push and they have reason to believe they can push a lot further, and take a lot more of our liberty.
What have you got to lose, they ask themselves. Got kids? (Anything goes, if you have minor children in your castle.) Got a career you don’t want disrupted? An unblemished record somewhere? A busted tail light?
Given the push for digital currency, and the resulting complete control of the population, it’s not hard to see how they might be far more successful at civilian disarmament using a few keystrokes rather than a potential bloody attempt at forcible confiscation.
