The 737-500 was launched in 1987, by Southwest Airlines, with an order for 20 aircraft, and flew for the first time on June 30, 1989. A single prototype flew 375 hours for the certification process,[8] and on February 28, 1990 Southwest Airlines received the first delivery.[1] The 737-500 has become a favorite of some Russian airlines, with Nordavia, Rossiya Airlines, S7 Airlines, Sky Express, Transaero, UTair, and Yamal Airlines all buying second-hand models of the aircraft to replace aging Soviet-built aircraft and/or expand their fleets.

Boeing is so woke that they no longer create safe airplanes.

Boeing says all new hiring must include 20% blacks.

Boeing says Biden being president is to unite the country.

Boeing says white employees must check their privilege and give it to blacks, including giving up jobs if need be.

Boeing says ethics have not been considered if a black is not on your team, no matter how small a team.

Boeing knew the Max was dangerous but to beat Airbus to market with the Max (Airbus had a competing product) they purposefully ignored the dangers.

Boeing has been fined recently for multiple safety infractions.

I wonder. Possibly. The passenger list might be interesting or maybe not. It could be that or crappy maintenance. Would crappy maintenance cause an explosion though ?

They’ll probably blame Trump, it’s all the rage . /s
