Most people are very surprised when they learn that Carnegie Mellon has been the #1 computer science grad school in the USA since the 1980s.

They are ranked above MIT, Stanford, and Berkeley.

Texas A&M has been the #1 grad school in petroleum engineering in the world for decades.

Really? When I visited the campus a couple of years ago while classes were in session, it looked fairly evenly distributed, and with a large population of Indians.

But then again, I didn't take a census.
