WASHINGTON -- The man photographed sitting at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's desk during Wednesday's riots in the US Capitol has been arrested and charged with three federal counts, including theft of public property, federal officials said Friday.

Federal officials said Richard Barnett of Arkansas was taken into custody Friday morning in Little Rock.

Barnett was charged with knowingly entering and remaining in restricted building grounds without authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds as well as the theft of public property, officials said.

A resident of Alabama was also charged in connection with the pipe bomb found on the south side of the Capitol building. Eleven Molotov cocktails and military-style weapon were found in his pickup truck, officials said.

"Just because you've left the DC region you can still expect a knock on the door if we find out you were part of the criminal activity at the Capitol," said Steven D'Antuono, assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington field office.

"The FBI is not sparing any resources in this investigation," he said.

It was not immediately clear whether Barnett has an attorney.

That’s part of the problem and why so many are upset is because the law is longer equally applied. No one except one, has been held accountable for the Russia coup. Then you put the election fraud on top of that and many other things, and the people are not going to be upset, really.

They certainly didn’t go after BLM/antifa by infiltrating those organizations or making big public announcements of arrests.

think he gaf? maybe you should get off your ass and risk something to protest

Unless he did something more than walk in the Capital AFTER BEING LET IN BY THE CAPITAL POLICE and sit in a chair for five minutes he should be home soon.

Go post about why this same federal agency can’t find any real rioters from over the summer.

Barr dicked around this past summer releasing a list of alleged anarchists who were picked up for crossing state lines for rioting, destruction of property, etc. I think there were 50 names on the list...50!! out of all the rioters who spent all summer destroying $2 billion dollars worth of property. The bulk went unattested, and uncharged. And none of us have any idea as to what happened to those 50 that were charged. I haven’t heard anything about them since the list was published.

One of the good things about Trump is how elite POS’s like you expose yourself as a GOPElite POS~!

Run along and let real people tend to this bs, ignored by you and your fellow GOPelites for decades.

“The FBI is not sparing any resources in this investigation,” he said.

So now the FBI kicks into ‘high gear’?

Apparently, there was a black Congressit, who said, something like, I want to get one of these, and he was carrying.

I think not. They're going to throw the book at him.

It seems to me that if the FBI:

1. Would have been as quick and efficient to investigate and arrest the bad players committing election fraud in the contested states in the recent election....

2. Would have jumped on the Biden crime family evidence in Hunter Biden's laptop and turned over the crimes for indictment to the DOJ....

3.Would have taken a professional approach to dealing with the corruption in the Hillary email scandal instead of overtly letting her off the hook like it was some joke....

4. Would not have violated the law by spying on the Trump administration and violated the FISA laws to go after and imprison Trump associates....

....That the people who breeched the Capitol on Wednesday, might not have been so fed up and angry with the government and stormed it's most visible symbol in retaliation.

Law enforcement and prosecutors seem to ignore massive crimes except if they are conservative related. It is blatant and obvious to those who are on the outside looking in. People have had enough of this painfully blatant bias and inaction by government officials.

I'm just sayin'.....

Just out of curiosity, why did they name the man who broke into Pelosi’s office, but not name the man from Alabama who had the Molotov cocktails? Could it be his politics don’t fit the “right wing” narrative?

“Just out of curiosity, why did they name the man who broke into Pelosi’s office...”

Because he named himself when being interviewed in the MSM and in his own social media posts.

“I think not. They’re going to throw the book at him.”

And his lawyers will throw a $150,000 bill at him.

That’s the one that hurts.

The Feds may not get their conviction, but his lawyers are going to take every cent he has to his name.
