We are really witnessing some unique stuff right now in the history of our nation aren’t we?

Are we witnessing the “4th turning” as many have suggested?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strauss%E2%80%93Howe_generational_theory

I feel strangely disconnected from “their reality” and they are clearly disconnected from “my reality”.

It goes beyond the “selection” (my new word for election), the fraud, and even the events of two days ago. All over America politicians and bureaucrats alike are restricting freedoms in the open and most people simply accept it all as some new version of “normal” because of a virus. In the information sphere we simply shrug at blatant suppression, censorship, and deletion of people and ideas by big tech and big media.

We have Governors and Mayors who have decided what is essential and what is not essential. A marijuana shop for example may stay open, but a church (of any kind) may not hold service? A Governor can eat at a restaurant with friends and family, but you and I cannot gather with our families for Thanksgiving or Christmas? The “Mayor of NYC” can go to the gym, but you cannot.

Did we tear up the constitution because of a virus or has this simply been an inevitable end with a virus as the excuse?

The rule of law no longer applies to some, but it is vigorously enforced on others with glee.

We now see our leaders propose unconstitutional action because of people wearing Trump gear who ran through the capital despite many months of “riots” elsewhere including an attempt by Antifa to breach the Whitehouse and nobody batted an eye? Now, after the inevitable selection such a protest and bad behavior by a few is suddenly viewed as an existential threat to the nation? Powerful politicians call for the expulsion of other members of congress because they do not say the same thing? The President-Select calls the opposition supporters “domestic terrorists”?

We have had contested elections before with harsh words and lots of hyperbolic predictions, but most of us would agree that regardless of “who won”, the uniparty went back to being the uniparty and little changed (other than the debt clock) until Obama promised a “fundamental transformation” and then Trump came along with a massive rebuke to the “capital class” and the elites.

This feels very different doesn’t it? The pendulum of politics in my lifetime swung further to the left with Obama, it swung even further to the right with Trump, and now it is headed left again with even greater momentum in a country that is more divided than at any point in my lifetime and when there is “one party rule”.

It feels like something is going to break this time.
