As I said on another thread: they wanted there to be a gunfight on 1/6, with as many casualties as possible. The headlines were already written in their minds: "Armed Insurrection in the Nation's Capital. Multiple people dead." There would've been an immediate nationwide call for extreme gun control. That was the plan, but conservatives didn't give them what they wanted because that's not who we are. They're trying to salvage as much of that narrative as they can. They started by calling it an insurrection. Now, they've shifted over to Armed insurrection. Give them time - deaths (from any cause) will get added in, and the sheep will suddenly start "remembering" there was a shootout.
