If you look at a diagram of the US Capitol building, you’ll see that Ashli Babbit was attempting to force entry into the Speaker’s Lobby through a window transom in the doorway. The Speaker’s Lobby leads to the Speaker of the House’s office and suite and is a highly secure area. It would have been defended with deadly force if necessary. Although it has been claimed she was a Trump supporter, the person filming the incident is a known to be a leftist, John Sullivan.
There might be more to this incident than what is being reported.
