President Donald Trump publicly acknowledged that he would leave office on January 20 for the first time Thursday, pledging an orderly transfer of power after Congress affirmed President-elect Joe Biden's Electoral College win.
"Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th," Trump said in the statement, repeating false claims he has made throughout the last two months. "I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it's only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again."

Trump can remain president if
(a) he invokes the Insurrection Act
(b) he has proof of treasonous conduct by senior Democrats
(c) he can get the military to back up his challenge long enough to see it through the tribunal stage
Anyone think this could happen? I would say 1 in 100 chance but that’s not zero.
These are indeed the days to read that poem. Good post.
Initially objected then WITHDREW their objection and refused to join HOUSE members in writing. Not ONE US Senator SIGNED an objection with the HOUSE and therefore the HOUSE objections were NOT entertained and the vote was counted.
In four of the original six states mentioned for objections then no, senators did not sign on. But for Arizona and Pennsylvania there were Senators who joined House members in objecting, and there were debates and votes on the objections as a result. In fact they were in the process of adjourning to separate chambers for the Arizona debate when the Capitol was breached.
Exactly. So when VP Pence in his capacity as the President of the Senate was presented with the objection not a SINGLE US Senator took the time and effort to sign the stupid motion. Hmmmmm
OK let's try this again. While the Electoral Votes are being tallied objections to the votes of any state can be challenged if done in writing and if signed by at least one Congressman and one Senator. Last Wednesday challenges to four states failed because they did not have the signature of a single Senator. But the votes for two states, Arizona and Pennsylvania, were accepted and that resulted in debate and vote on both challenges in the House and Senate. Those challenges would not have been accepted if at least one Senator had not signed on, and I think it was Hawley for Arizona and Cruz for Pennsylvania. So your claim that "not a SINGLE US Senator took the time and effort to sign the stupid motion" is incorrect in two of the challenges.
Well since Dominion has filed a defamation lawsuit against her the court will HAVE to hear/see evidence.
We the people should STILL be fighting to get access to ballots at the very least they are OUR votes and have to be kept for 22 months.
He was surrounded by politicians interested in their career RE: Pat Cipollone and Mark Meadows, both of whom were TOTALLY against Trump executing EO 13848.
General Flynn and others urged him to enact this and he absolutely should have when he had that meeting w/ Sidney Powell and others. There was evidence of other countries involved in our election and by this time he had exhausted court options.
What exactly did you think EO 13848 would allow Trump to do?
Trump pledges orderly transition after Congress affirms Biden’s win and Capitol riot, or;
Trump pledges orderly transition after Congress affirms Biden’s theft and Capitol corruption.
After the House re-convened after the “riot” and the motions were made in the House to object VP Pence asked if the objections were signed by a Senator and each response was NO.
Can you show me the date/time stamp in the House proceedings where the objection was made in writing AND signed by at least ONE US Senator?
I am saying AFTER the “unlawful entry” by some Antifa and a very small percentage of Trump Supporters who thought that going into the capitol building without an invitation not ONE United States Senator put their objection IN WRITTEN FORM which is required by the Constitution.
Let me be clear the US Senators who expressed VERBAL objections FAILED in their most basic responsibility to put their objection IN WRITTEN FORM and JOIN member of the HOUSE to present IN WRITTEN FORM their objection. Vice President Pence could NOT entertain any objections because all the members of the HOUSE that objected could not get ONE US Senator to SIGN the stupid piece of paper.
But the Pennsylvania challenge occurred after Congress reconvened following the rioting. It was signed by Josh Hawley and a member of the House.
I did not see that objection I may have to go back and watch the floor proceedings. Can you advise the date/time stamp where that objection was made?
