Former MLB pitcher Tommy John has contracted COVID-19, but is minimizing the threat of the virus from a hospital bed in California.
The 77-year-old left-hander who played 26 seasons for six teams, including the Yankees, told The Daily Beast Tuesday he had no symptoms of the deadly bug despite being on oxygen at a hospital near his home in Indio, California.
“I’d leave right now if they’d let me walk out,” John said.
But John — who went on to pitch for 14 seasons after having elbow ligament replacement surgery in 1974 — accused a reporter of “making a mountain of a molehill” when being confronted with details provided by his longtime girlfriend Cheryl Zeldin, who has not been able to see him since late

Ny post going out of their way to expose all the “covid 19 deniers” it seems. Their article yesterday however included the statement by the sufferer that they would have got the virus EVEN IF they had worn masks . Bet the post hated even printing that fact

How does his normal, un-panicked demeanor make him a “denier”?
I am 65 yrs young and in great shape. I do not smoke or drink. I am also a COVID-19 survivor. I had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. ZERO. NADA. I also had the antibody test done and it came back as positive which confirms that I was once infected.
Herd immunity is the key to beat this thing. Developing an expensive vaccine for a disease with a 99.998% survival rate is ludicrous.

Was he a denier or was he daring to raise questions or voice opinions that go against the ever-changing group think that exploited the pandemic for political purposes.

So literally destroying the entire country was worth it for a disease that kills a median age older than the median age of life expectancy?
My son was amazed to learn he was an actual player, and that I paid $4.00 to sit in good seats, to see him pitch ;)
I’m 61 years old and in good health. I currently have covid, which I caught from my son during our Christmas gathering. It’s the flu!! Nothing more, nothing less! I had low-grade fever and body aches for 2 days, followed by a week of just feeling under the weather. We are crazy to have tanked the economy for this. But then you knew that.
