I think that is because TRUMP is a valid proxy for the USA, IMO.
He is the only one at the top (With a few Senators, Congressmen, and Judges) who seems to understand what is at stake here isn’t just four more years for him.
It is the future of our Republic. If we don’t have elections...and people know it...we don’t have a Republic.
Well, we would, but it would be a Banana Republic.
It has long been a banana republic, when “early voting” started up. OR started the BR-type mail-it-in voting earlier, also.
Early voting is the equivalent of dead people voting, because many of them WILL be dead when real Election Day occurs. Dead people should not be voting.
Hence, banana republic.
