The Vice President has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors.
He didn’t say Pence.
If he does, then congress must decide, correct?
Grassley’s office just said Pence would not be there and then shortly after clarified they expect the VP to be there.
The key question is: Did Trump say anything bad about Mike Pence after November 3, 2020? That should give us a clue to what Pence does on January 6, 2021. If Trump continues to not berate Pence, I think Pence might try to delay a decision whether to accept or reject those electoral votes till sometime after January 6.
Sigh.
He does not.
Oh he absolutely does. Constitution says VP counts the votes. Doesnt say how.
What’ll the dems do if he does? Scream and cry.
Well according to the Constitution he does not have any such power.
I don’t think the President of the Senate gets discretion unless there are multiple certifications for a state and we don’t have that situation. We have some legislators making noise but they are not in session.
I figured we’ll see a two hour dog and pony show based on Cruz gang of 11 objections and Biden Harris will be confirmed. I don’t expect any kind of 10 day commission or significant delay.
I watched the Dalton rally and don’t know if or how many of Trump’s claims are accurate. I don’t see specific refutations just blanket statements that everything stated is “unfounded” claims. I do not like the GA SOS approving the leak of the settlement call, as he admitted on FoxNews, even if he claims he didn’t personally record it. He’s got to go. If it’s a remedy available, the state legislature should impeach him.
It’s getting pretty pathetic, isn’t it?
So many of the close associates of President Trump wimped out or turned traitorous. After waiting for Sessions, Barr and Durham, will Pence be the one to merit a chapter in a second volume of Profiles In Courage?
Argh!
Yes, I think President Trump would say that if VP Pence was not on board.
“According to President Trump, VP Pence has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors.”
Think about this folks. If the VP gets to decide what votes to count, what about the next election when the VP is a democrat? Do you really want the VP to have the power to determine the next president? Oh, I know, he said “fraudulently selected”, but seriously, that gives the VP the power to decide who is “fraudulently selected” and that means the VP has the only vote that counts in the next election.
Go “sigh” somewhere else loser.
The left will always do the wrong thing in all situations. That shouldn’t influence or prevent the right thing from being done in this situation.
The electors in WI, MI, VA, GA, PA, NV, and AZ were very definitely “fraudulently selected”.

The right thing is to follow the Constitution which says nothing about the VP choosing the President.
The constitution is a dead letter if this allowed to slide. We are in post constitutional waters.
