Unfortunately, ATF people have consistently shown a certain delight in trampling on American citizens and their rights. Waco wasn’t an aberration, but a natural outgrowth of this BS.
And I wake up each morning and praise God for where I live. I look out our front door and tell myself, “Thank God this is still Texas where I live.”

Told my wife the same thing and mentioned how blessed we are to live “in the country” part of Texas as we drove down Highway 59.
That’s why RKBA issues haven’t been resolved for decades: both sides find 2ndA rhetoric a cash cow. Were our lobbyists actually interested in restoring “shall not be infringed”, POTUS would have declared Selective Service registrants eligible to purchase new M4s (and other NFA & 922(o) items) without tax, and non-registrants would have won access thereto via an equal-protection suit.
Once the BATFE and Leftists have managed to disarm the nation, the only thing left to do is round up and imprison or execute anyone with enough knowledge to build anything.
When they come for the first guns, all bets are off.
I wonder why during President Trumps past four years in office he didn’t remove the regulation of Firearms from the purview of the ATF. He had ample opportunity but never got it done.
ATF’s job should have been locked at investigating and controlling explosives and incidents of arson. That’s all.
if you want a nice smaller revolver from them the 357 LCP is very sweet.
I have a Kimber revolver on order. It’s the new K6S SADA, 4” Combat model in .357 Mag.
Longer barrel like the Blackhawk but not so long as to be unwieldy or absolutely impossible to carry unobtrusively. As some have mentioned, dexterity in senior years and/or nerve damage make revolvers very much of interest.
Not going to happen. Far too many of us old hard heads left.
The reason, all that time the BATF were those who were investigating if he did anything wrong. Bureaucraps should have been fried for what they did.
I’ve seen it. I want something with range. And with enough energy to reach out there and tap something.
So the .357 Mag/38 spec fits the bill. I can reload it cheaply and it is a potent round on the top side. Probably 0316 6-1/2” Ruger Blackhawk (unless I change my mind)
My wife has a 357 mag and I just bought a new set of loading dies for them.
I’m 73, but still do very well as far as handling weapons.
I don’t conceal carry. Don’t see the point for now. Don’t want on another list. We have lots of gun owners in the county, last time I looked there were only 72 CCW license holders here. There are a lot more shooters.
You can carry in the glove box without it, You can carry hunting without it. So for now, I’m happy without the permit.
Aggree with you on the trampling issue.
There is no support for that in Texas, but this is where Waco took place. Saw how that ended. And the nonsense at the “biker shooting” (Twin Peaks) Took 3 years to finally admit they had absolutely no case on 99 percent of the people that were left alive.
The civil side of that has not yet been settled. That is a Crime. This should be a wake up call to the Texas Legal System, it was not. It should be a Klaxon alarm for Waco, it is still nutty as a fruit cake.
So there.
I like living in flyover country.
I had a brother say yesterday, surely the ATF wouldn’t follow an order to confiscate guns. I looked at him and said does a bear crap in the woods! The ATF are the worst of the worst of the JBT’s and would kill children to confiscate a gun and not lose a moments sleep. But there is only a limited number of these goons and a lot of law abiding gun owners who want nothing more than to be left alone. This could get nasty quick if a resistance knows what it is doing.
I hope you’re right... and I hope you’re ready.
I’m in Arizona and the CC Permit gives me reciprocity in a dozen other states I travel to. It also covers the issue of where I walk for exercise being under a Fed law that calls for a permit.
OK that makes sense. Thanks for explanation.
