If you read the data it does prevent you from getting the illness. it even if it just prevented severe illness it would be worth it. The ICUs are full of people that work agree with that
Basically what I got from Pfizer data was 43,000 were in trial. 84 with placebo got covid, 8 with vaccine got covid. Later on, Fauci himself was saying vaccine doesn’t prevent transmission. Based on that, I wouldn’t consider the vaccine if under 40 and healthy. Not enough data to satisfy me for risks. People disagree with me, including those much more credentialed, that’s fine, I get it. My main fight is to make sure a free people can make choices on such things.
