The giant multinational corporations are throwing trillions of dollars, yen, whatever... around DC. That money is what put theses whores in office - and that money is what keeps them there.
There are precious few honest politicians that take their oath seriously and seek to represent their constituency - precious few.
Once in a while there is a SC justice confirmation or something where Ben Sasse can do his holier than thou “good guy” act - but he’s there for the money.
