Dr Anthony Fauci has cautioned that early COVID-19 vaccines will be focused on preventing symptoms of the virus, not blocking it altogether.
Fauci, the nation's leading expert on infectious diseases, made the point on Monday as at least four vaccine candidates near the end of clinical trials and the US reported a record number of new cases in the last week.
While the end goal of the vaccines will be to eradicate the virus, Fauci noted that developers are aiming for a simpler goal in the first round of jabs.
'The primary thing you want to do is that if people get infected, prevent them from getting sick, and if you prevent them from getting sick, you will ultimately prevent them from getting seriously ill,' Fauci said at Yahoo Finance's All Markets Summit.
'If the vaccine also allows you to prevent initial infection, that would be great. [But] what I would settle for, and all of my colleagues would settle for, is the primary endpoint to prevent clinically recognizable disease.'

this disease has 99.99% or more survival rates in all demographics except the oldest folks, and even in their age group its about 94.5%
and for those 5.6% they virtually all have one or more pre-existing negative health issues, that would make them at risk of death by contracting anything, not just covid.
so we’ve destroyed everything and are acting like health nazis towards everyone who won’t go along with the ever-changing plans and deceitful tactics of fauxci on this

I got Pfizer 12/16. And the article misstates important facts.
The Pfizer and Moderna trials were not designed or powered to answer the question of whether a vaccinated person can acquire or transmit asymptomatic infection. Had that been the criterion for EUA, the trials would still be going on and would probably take another year.
We don’t have another year.
I have had continuous patient contact with COVID since March (and I saw my first patient on January 23, 2000). The difference in severe illness and death between Moderna and Pfizer vaccines and the placebo in the Phase III trials is huge and growing.
So, I’m more than happy to get dose #2 next week, and I think Operation Warp Speed (which woul not and could not have been imagined by anyone on Biden’s incoming team) has produced fantastic success.

Does it concern you that this was published back in October? It should be clear by now, that Fauci will not be satisfied except when all are wearing masks. He keeps coming up with more excuses to keep people in masks. Everything he says is directed at that objective.
