Maybe he bought stock in Pfizer and wants to tank the Moderna vaccine?
This batch was for inoculating the hospital staff, i.e. his coworkers. Maybe he hates them and his job. Does seem a weird action for a pharmacist.
It isn’t necessary nor even desirable to “get” why someone does (or doesn’t) do something. Maybe just for curiosity sake, or conversation.
If we were a serious nation what he did would be a capital offense, no ifs ands or buts, and this goofball would be executed within a month or two.

So the hospital staff, thinking they had immunity, would be potential super-spreaders at the hospital and to their families. Maybe he wanted to harm individuals through illness, bankrupt the hospital, or get top management fired.

Let it drop in temperature to neutralize the mRNA. Then the vaccine is missing the component of the vaccine that makes this vaccination program a very large human trial experiment. The vaccine becomes harmless.
Well I don’t know jack, just theorizing based on asking myself, “who are the potential targets”. If the vax had been intended for nearby nursing homes I would theorize he was “mercy” serial killer type.
But since the harm targets his employer and co-workers it seems like it was intended as covert workplace violence. Might be interesting to know who the first 57 recipients were? Senior management, human resource hags?
A “spoiled” vaccine is harmless?
People have been experiencing so many negative responses, including anaphylaxis, that yes, letting the proteins denature or other degredation of the mRNA renders it safer than it is right now. Actually, with 99.9% survival rate, they could just let Americans have access to the treatments already proven to work well (Ivermectin, HCQ etc.) because Covid is less harmful than the vaccine.
He took the vials out 2 nights in a row. That was double-intentional.
Divorce - anger towards women. If his facility is vaccinating by unit, as a pharm, he would know which units were due for shots
I’d also be looking at the recent deaths in the hospital, either from overmedication or undermedication of compounded formulas
The big question is what else has he tampered with?
