2019 National Teacher of the Year, Rodney Robinson, has apologized after he made what he called "a bad joke" on Twitter. In his December 30 tweet, Robinson, a Richmond, Virginia native, referenced the violent attack on Republican Senator Rand Paul by his next door neighbor in 2017, then suggested Senator Mitch McConnell’s neighbors should “step up” and do the same:

But if you are a young white woman you will lose your college cheerleading scholarship due to a social media post made when you were 15 years old
The son-of-a-bitch is no good.
He should be arrested.
the Teacher’s are encouraging/permitting/allowing

assault, conspiracy for assault, treason, sedition,
conspiracy for battery and attempted murder KNOWINGLY.
they must not be allowed near children.
How does a dummy like that get to be a teacher let alone teacher of the year?
How does a brain dead former vice President become President? They cheat.
Probably lives in a liberal enclave. If not then maybe his neighbors should pay him a 0330 visit.
I’ve been reading The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. 97% of teachers joined the NAZI Teachers Association. Why would they be different here?

...And the truly frightening realization, something I suspect most of us know deep down in our hearts but don’t actually acknowledge, is that the majority of people in positions of power and/or wealth are either sociopaths or harbor strong sociopath tendencies. Which means they do not think in terms of civic duty and public service, but rather about personal gain and ever more power. As conditions continue to deteriorate, less and less sane and well-meaning people will be willing to step up and attempt to lead, creating an even larger power vacuum the sociopaths are more than willing to fill.
...Those who claim “They would never do that” are hopelessly and dangerously deluded, mesmerized by the great American myth or just hopelessly deep in denial. For crying out loud, of course they’d do ‘that’, just as you and I are capable of doing just about anything when subjected to great stress and pressure. The difference is that in the grand scope of things, whatever we might do would harm mostly ourselves and maybe those nearest to us, while ‘they’ can and will harm thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, to maintain their status quo and position of power.
Hey. He’s a Democrat and has apologized so nothing to see..just move along.
“Teacher of the Year”
Interesting site. I don’t agree with all of what he says, but he gets out some great insights.
Thanks for posting this.

Totally agree, and he would say, I believe, trust your own instincts
Posted below is what I found regarding Rodney Robinson being named the 2019 Teacher of the Year. In other words, he teaches at a school inside the Richmond Juvenile Detention Center to teenage students who have been in trouble with the law yet he encouraged Mitch McConnell’s neighbors to break the law and assault a sitting US Senator.
Rodney Robinson should be stripped of his title, fired from his job and never allowed to teach again. That’s what would happen to a conservative in the same situation.

“CBS This Morning” is proud to reveal the 2019 National Teacher of the Year: Rodney Robinson.
Robinson teaches social studies and history at Virgie Binford Education Center, a school inside the Richmond Juvenile Detention Center. His lessons focus on helping his students become socially conscious citizens who make the most out of their second chance. Robinson stressed his students are just like any other teenagers.
“There’s no difference,” Robinson said Wednesday on “CBS This Morning.” “They like cheesy, teenage stuff like ‘Teen Wolf’ and ‘Hanna,’ their favorite shows. But they just made mistakes and they’re paying for mistakes.”
Looks like there is affirmative action in receiving awards, too.
Don’t let this angry mentally ill loser near any child. What an embarrassment to good teachers.
And yet miss americas have been stripped of their crowns for less.
Can’t wait to see this guy in the Biden administration. Sounds like he would fit right in.
7% of teachers are black, while 79% are white, yet a black is given the best teacher award. That’s quite a long shot... But, I’m sure it was all based on merit...
