San Francisco health officials announced an indefinite extension of the current stay-at-home order and 10-day travel quarantine Thursday morning.
San Francisco County was one of five Bay Area counties that adopted the state's new regional stay-at-home order early, opting to go under the order in early December, two weeks before the region's intensive care unit capacity fell under 15%, which caused the state to shut down the rest of the region.
The state order for the Bay Area region is slated to expire on Jan. 8 if ICU capacity is back over 15% and not projected to dip under that figure again for four weeks. On Wednesday, the state estimated the region had 7.5% capacity.
San Francisco officials believe that gatherings from Christmas and New Year's will fuel a new surge in January, so restrictions will remain in effect in the city even in the outside chance the state order is lifted.
Under the stay-at-home order, outdoor dining, indoor personal care services and other activities are prohibited.
The city's travel policy - which requires a mandatory quarantine of 10 days for anyone traveling, moving or returning to the city from anywhere outside the Bay Area - was originally supposed to expire on Jan. 4.

“Every” State is not going to going to go into a “full mandatory lockdown”. If Florida and Texas did not do it yet, I doubt its going to ever be done. SD will never do that along with dozens more.
And a President can call for martial law for the reasons you mention. but thankfully, there is no mechanism for that to declared nationwide or even on a regional basis..

Those have not been on a regional multi-state basis or for an entire state, and never nationwide. A nationwide suspension of habeas corpus during the Civil War was ruled unconstitutional where civil courts were still operating.
As noted, there is no mechanism in the U.S. Constitution to invoke martial law on a scale you seem to be suggesting for the reasons you suggest. And I suspect that many people would not comply if it was invoked in that scale..

I can’t understand the first part of your last sentence. I can state with certainty that I was not for lockdowns in March 2020, any more than I am for lockdowns now.
Wildcard — I take your question as having been asked in a respectful manner, — I was struggling to walk, get into my car and drive to get dosed with radiation twice a week, along with taking Chemo tablets.
Noone in the radiology department wore a mask, nor in hospital post surgery I was in after having my guts and bowel operated on. Nor do any of the shops and stores wear masks, nor do the Oncology staff or patients like myself whom I have written about in detail, read my posts.
Not one bloody mask mate... We , including my addled chemotherapy souped brain worked out that the masks are BS, and did not stop an airborne low micron sized Virii. Do you wear a full NBC hazmat suit? If not then the technical term for using a mask is bollocks. Eyes, airborne Virii, poof, your infected... Ever done any research on gas or germ warfare ? I wonder how this is working for them. Many employed in San Francisco commute from outside the SF Bay area, are the employees banned from going to work or are they quarantine for 10 days at their desk if they do go to work?
What about deliveries from outside the bay area. Where is the food coming from, certainly not grown in the bay area?
What about fuel, it also comes from outside the bay area.
This whole quarantine idea is evil since it really serves no purpose (other then political)
Why worry? One more mutation and we will have Zombies everywhere. Look at all the low IQ’s now. Won’t take much to push them down a little farther.
