Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

The radar doesn’t look very pretty over you neck o’ da woods. How much snow have you gotten so far?
I hope the weather was nice enough yesterday for an outing with Gizmo.

Happy New Year, Kathy!

I pulled up the Lake Hood cam and went back to midnight. Can see some of the fireworks they set off then and can hear a lot more that aren’t visible. So they’re still shooting some off in your neighborhood?

We got a call late this afternoon from our friends who moved to FL a few years ago after their house burned down and moved back here during the summer. They’d decided to have a small, impromptu party and we just got home a short time ago. One of their neighbors fired off a few fireworks at midnight so we got a little show.

So glad you got to visit with friends, and you got some fireworks, too.

It’s been quiet for about 20 minutes, but has just now started again.

It was a very nice evening with them, their son and DIL and his 5 kids. They took in Hubby’s cousin’s dog after he passed a couple of months ago and it was great to see how happy she is in her new home. A really nice evening all-round.
The little fireworks show was an added bonus. LOL It started raining a few minutes afterwards so the timing was perfect.

I couldn’t hear the fireworks when they started up again. It’s a pretty good distance between your house and the airport so it’s no surprise. I’d say folks around the farm fired off a bunch at midnight but they don’t do it for very long on New Year’s Eve.

This last round was about 5 minutes and now just the odd boom.

Well, we had some snow this morning. We will see what happens with the weather today. The roads looked severe to the DOT this morning. Hopefully they will clear off.

We did get to spend a few minutes at Comanche Lake yesterday however it was misting at the same so I didn't get too many pictures. I did get some head shot though after coaxing Giz.

And this was taken back at the house.

Always going to be someone who just has to fire some off a little later. They won’t do it long because they don’t want to get busted. LOL They do it here, too, but not tonight due to the rain moving in.
It looks like all the fun stuff - storms - will come through while I’m asleep. And just realizing how late it is, I need to get started on the routine. Getting here so late has me all messed up on time. LOL!
