“when human contact is reduced by 95%, the flu has a tough time spreading”
But not COVID, another respiratory virus that is transmitted through the same vector?
What magic are you going to attribute that to?
Liquid Gold
I have a niece in Miami who is a hospital director. She was all freaked out about the Covid cases in the hospitals and everyone must take the vaccine.I asked her if there were any flu cases and she point blank told me there were NONE. I asked her how can that be? We have tens of thousands of cases every year with tens of thousands of deaths including children. The flu virus strain changes every year. She had no answer. Just kept saying there are no flu cases ONLY Covid. How brainwashed and naive can these people be!
We’ll see.
You have an epically great year as well!
More than 250,000 patients on average die every year under doctors care from known mal practice, a money problem for insurance companies and hospitals, how many of those are now Covid deaths. they wont tell us until next year.
I would bet a substantial amount of money that if the gubmint stopped payments to hospitals for Covid reports and started payments for flu reports the numbers would flip.
Mysterious disappearance of the seasonal flu in medical and public health record keeping.
States can got more money from the feds with the COVID-19 than the flu it’s a gold mine for the blue states.
Pelosi winks
“Scared to go to ER” — no doubt true, but from 17,073 cases to 36 cases? That’s an awful lot of very scared people.
Feds are paying hospital costs for “Covid”.
Not doing the same for normal ‘Flu’.
Simple math:
Get paid by Feds or wait for patient to pay.
No bet.
What would Occam say.
CDC...27 positve cases in week #51.
Only 720 positives since the start of the flu season.
over 15k+ at the same time last season.
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm
also from CDC
“Update as of December 3, 2020: The model used to generate influenza in-season preliminary burden estimates uses current season flu hospitalization data. Reported flu hospitalizations are too low at this time to generate an estimate.”
COVID killed the flu
Correct. And since the theory is that covid is more contagious than the flu, mitigation steps will impact the flu more.
Or, we really don’t track the flu in real time and the fill in numbers by estimation. With covid, there isn’t a great way to do the estimation
I read the same about Minnesota. Also, the Johns Hopkins article about no increase in deaths that was pulled.
Cracks in the dam.
People will believe anything if their paychecks depend on it.
The flu isn’t covid though. I had both, and the flu was much worse
That's odd.
What is more likely? That the COVID tests are testing positive for people who only have the flu, or that the flu has disappeared?
Is the regular flu being used as a lie to continue the control? ...not saying COVID isn’t still out there but it would be easy to conflate the two.
No matter how bad 2021 is (if I actually knew how it would go) it has to be better than 2020.
Hang tough, Nully!
My love to you and yours.
