OK, have to disagree here. The Constitution won't be dead, the Republic will be. The truth's held within the Constitution will still hold true. The Republic that it built; , more precisely the citizens of that Republic, will have shown to be unable, or unworthy of upholding those truths. We will have squandered our birthrights and let evil men rule the day. Good, hard working Patriots have abdicated their duty to protect that birthright for way too long. This is where it has led. In shame, I am counted in that number, so don't think I am lecturing anyone but myself.
I've said it before; it bears repeating. We have an obligation to see this thing out to the end. If at 12 noon, 20 Jan, 2021 evil men carry the day, a lot of people are going to have to make some very hard decisions. We either stand together as the Founding Fathers wrote and "...mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor" or we quietly stand back and let the darkness win out over the light. I hold no illusions as to the ramifications of what I am saying. Neither should anyone else. I hope I have the courage and strength to stand up and do the right thing in the face of what I fear is coming. In the end, every man will have to decide for themselves. God speed to all.
No matter — we all need to stay grounded in the here-and-now. Stand tall and in the READY POSITION, even if that means to be on our knees. Most of all, be right with the Almighty. Help those who need help, there will be many.
The way you put it is true. The Constitution will be dead for Americans who are unworthy or unable to hold up these truths. It seems to be dead to the socialists who look to cheat their way into power. And that is still a lot of people. And then there are the people who never heard of the Constitution.
I think the evil men will continue to be evil and they are counting on the people not to revolt. They are probably thinking times are too good, men are too soft, the nation is too wealth... why both revolting? Look the other way. They’re probably thinking love of the Constitution is not as strong as fear of losing your life or property (Machiavelli). Revolutions don’t happen in America, they happen when people are so poor they only own their empty stomachs, when they have nothing to lose. So I think these evil men are not fearing an uprising that will throw them out of power. They think people will go home and nothing will happen.
