Good question...I have witnessed martial law in action, as a shore patrol officer (beat charlie) in the Philippines. The local police (P.C.) apprehended suspects in a brutal beating of an American sailor. The arresting officer, not in hot pursuit, entered a house without a warrant. He exited with a suspect whose hand he was holding. After the suspect was very calmly escorted to a waiting paddy wagon, I asked the cop, “Why did the perp go so willingly?” The P.C. calmly stated, “He resists, and I kill him with this.” And he held up the M1911 he held is in his other hand. I don't think, under martial law, a written report would have even been required.

For me it's not an easy question, but I know the BLM and Antifa pukes would suddenly be facing some tough questions as well.

I think martial law in America will be uglier than that. Behind every blade of grass will be a rifle.
