Those ‘elites’ have an army of we little people manning their groceries, truckingtheir foods, manning the infrastructure of the community. This evil deed hurts them more than the elites.

I bet the Saudi Prince in the 40,000 sqft. house on the far hillside overlooking the slope is having his wives keep him warm. He might even order a tanker truck to park next to his house providing fuel for the gas fire places. (BTW the house does exist and belongs to the Saudi royal family.)

Of course, and even the pilot light has a thermocouple but you can’t possibly take any chances these days. The lawyers will eat you alive. Better to let your customers shiver for a few days. It’s supposed to be around zero tonight.

You might want to turn down the thermostat now a bit to try to conserve what you have left.

Can one survive with enough blankets and only go out when you have to cook? I do not know your local temperatures, physical fitness, etc... I would start setting up that winter camping gear just in case. Maybe even do it inside the house, LOL, but you may need that place to cook outside.

And I would immediately start with layering your clothing: the number of layers are more important than the thickness because it traps air in between each one, which acts as an insulator. Recall that mild exercise will help (ex. push ups), provided one does NOT BREAK INTO A SWEAT!

Think layering 3 pairs of socks, long johns if you have them, multiple long sleeve shirts, a hat, a scarf, gloves, lots of blankets and so on...maybe high calorie foods?

You may want to call the police non-emergency line and ask for advice or help. I would do that now before you actually run out.

You just need one line to the large tank on the dual canister buddy heaters. They have a built in check valve setup. Sometimes they can be a bit finicky to start up on a large tank until that internal valve system resets its self but in general they work great. Its what I use for back up emergency heat.

"yet the average oil well is 30,000+ feet deep"

Your post just cancelled itself out.

Sorry, no participation award.

Deepest well I cemented was a Exon hole in SW Texas @27k ft and that was supposed to be a secret...*we measured the casing to be used.

Wells greater than 17k ft usually require a two stage cementing job so as to not cement off the zone due to hydrostatic pressure.

Plenty of still producing wells at 500-1400 ft from 1911-1930's. Some are shallower and two men could put the pumpjack into the bed of a pickup truck.

You’re an idiot if you can’t turn your own pilot light on.

“There has never been a single piece of anything resembling a fossil or prior living thing discovered deeper than 10,000 feet below the surface - yet the average oil well is 30,000+ feet deep.”

Tell that to the ignorant eco freaks.

That’s what I have. 20 lb cylinder probably only lasts a day or so.
