The regional stay-at-home order has been extended indefinitely for two of California's regions, Southern California and the San Joaquin Valley, California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly announced Tuesday.
Ghaly said four-week projections for both regions show demand exceeding ICU capacity, which means the stay-at-home order will remain in effect. The order will be lifted when "ICU projections are above or equal to 15%."

Agreed. I work in several different hospitals in LA County. Was at Cedars Sinai yesterday. The emergency room looked to be at 50% capacity and the 3rd floor was probably at 60%-70% capacity.
On my way to Reagan Memorial Hospital (UCLA) now and expect it to be the same.

I don’t doubt you but last month my husband had a medical emergency and I was not allowed to be with him once he was taken into the ER. And I immediately had to either wait outside or in my car or at home so waiting rooms and parking lots may not be accurate indicators of hospital capacity.

A lot of people forget the parking lot is not an indicator. My cousin was not able to stay with her husband for over a month now.
Side note: If a hospital is full why can’t the State and Federal Government move then to other hospitals. The virus is not infecting the whole country at the same time. We are America we have the capabilities.
The local leaders need to ask for help if it as bad as the media is reporting it.
