It’s all science!

Global warming, climate change, the coming ice age, ozone hole, acid rain, DDT, spotted owls, polar bears, blue whales (I’m not talking about American feminists), recycling, our need for water conservation, plastic, gas guzzling cars (excludes Hollywood actors, producers and political leaders limo’s and jets), buying cloths made of genuine leather or furs (actually the most regenerative, sustainable, organic, green, biodegradable and environmental thing you can do), rain forests, coral reefs, soot in the air from fossil fuels, the dangers of nuclear power...

You need to surrender your freedom immediately!

You don’t want freedom, that requires you to be responsible, to take risks. You would rather have government protect and provide for you, wouldn’t you? It’s always been that way, you have the rulers and the ruled. What do you think all of these movements are asking of you, what do they all cry for? Your subjugation.

Now, put on your mask, stay away from church or a restaurant (science has proven that’s where you get Covid), and don’t use more than one sheet of paper to wipe your ass, on a toilet using one gallon per flush as per EPA regulations, and in a room using an CFL since incandescent bulbs are banned.

Whenever you encounter a global warming idiot , just ask this simple question

Actually, they are now climate change idiots since global warming was too easy to disprove.

I usually ask them to name a period of time when the climate didn't change. They can't because there isn't one

Another good question to ask:

“In your view, what does the “optimum” climate look like?”

Follow-up:
“In what previous age or epoch did it occur?”

Trouble is, they hate, hate, HATE to be proven wrong and they will do whatever it takes to bring about their predictions in those areas where the do exert some dontrol... expansion of wars, for instance.

Because they think that they will survive to rule the ruins...

So that’s when you raise the inconvenient fact that their own “scientists” admit that anthropogenic warming (i.e. caused by humans) is at most 3% of all global warming. So completely eliminating that 3% will do...what? If their dire fears are true, would falling off a cliff 3% slower really help at all?

(NOTE: That 3% is probably incorrect & excessive, but they ought to accept it because it comes from their own side.)

Some people seem to get that...but it has been said that most of the time you can’t reason people out of a position they weren’t reasoned into, in the first place.

> It is their religion. Nothing will convince them

That pretty much sums it up.

But some of them will use a web search and point to recent NASA fabrications as their “proof”. They will ask you: are you smarter than the guys at NASA? Meanwhile, NASA fires anyone who disagrees with the official ideology and will not listen when hundreds of legitimate scientists write them in protest.

The ultimate unreasoned echo chamber of the left...

Minor quibble: wars have been fought over potable water, so it is a legitimately scarce commodity.

But otherwise you are spot on! :-)

IIRC it was the Cuyahoga River that was flaming. Yeah, I lived in the lake many year summers. Still OK, too.

The river did not burn, of course. An oil slick from a steel mill probably was set on fire by sparks from a train. It took 20-30 minutes to put out and reporters got no pictures since it was out before they got there.

A number of industrial cities have had similar fires (and not just in the US) back into the 1800s, but the small Cuyahoga fire was just the lucky one that became famous.

Detroit, Chicago, Houston, New York City, Buffalo, Philadelphia, and more had fires on rivers. Then there is the Detroit Rouge River fire. Time magazine missed this one the same year of the Cuyahoga. It took 7 hours to put out.

When needed insert these questions to the rabble:

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.

3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.

4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.

5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.

6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.

7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

Cricket DB level increases markedly.............

The question is asked,

Can society require that anti-vaxxers take all inoculations (especially measles) if they take the Covid vaccine?

My answer is,.

Yes, by requiring proof of vaccination[1][2] for an increasing amount of activities and which we are now seeing proposed or implemented,[3][4][5] and which proof can be provided (even conceivably required) online[6] or thus face restrictions on freedom of movement, employment, schooling, shopping, and overall living if refused. And which can require children to be vaccinated.[7]

However, the warrant for requiring proof of vaccination presumes that vaccination prevents infection and or transmission, which is not proven. And that even if it does not enable these then that it is more efficacious than having recovered from Covid-19 and who thus have lasting resistance.[8]

Required vaccination also presumes that asymptomatic cases of Covid-19 (which an est. large percentage are) are infectious, which is debatable[9], while 90% of positive cases show such a low level of the virus that they are not considered to be infectious. [10]

Meaning that if a person has recovered from Covid-19, and is not infectious (which requires testing), then they should not need vaccination.

Vaccinations such as against polio, TB. small pox, whooping cough etc. (and i thank God for them) are already variously required in some states for public school children[11] .

But using the same “for the common good” rational then required proof of vaccination could also be required for the flu (which I had).

However, no proof of vaccination of such infectious diseases as the above is required for such things as shopping or travel within in the US, yet as the public is increasingly conditioned to being increasingly dependent upon the government, and to providing proof of submission then I foresee this required proof of compliance as being extended to increasing requirements of assent, from Climate Change requirements to family size (as goods become scare and the government itself is in debt over its head).

Meaning a trajectory toward Communism, and eventually what we read about in Revelation 13.

“If the media doesn’t report, the stupid American public is unaware.”

According to Gallop only 2% of the population consider “global warming, I mean climate change, I mean WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE” an important issue.

So perhaps people are not that stupid. Turn off the boob tube and you will hardly ever hear global warming mentioned by real people except to make fun of it.

“So perhaps people are not that stupid.”

I’d require more proof. I’m in the blue part of Ohio, and the only reason climate change isn’t more of an issue is the idiots don’t want to be too inconvenienced.

No.

This is NOT an all or nothing issue.

Every vaccine is a unique situation.

1. Not every vaccine is the same, i.e. the effectiveness and risks associated with them vary greatly. I had the Anthrax vaccine many years ago. That was not a pleasant experience any what I had was common (5 shots spaced out and after the first one you get a painful knot in your arm that lasts a week after the shot).

2. Not every disease is the same, the risks associated with contracting them vary greatly (probability x magnitude). Some diseases are more or less transmittable, some or more or less of a health risk if you get them.

3. Not every person is the same: age, sex, behaviors, travels, race, pre-existing conditions, occupation. If you’re a veterinarian, you may get exposed to some diseases most people won’t.

***The one size fits all shoe solution is idiotic,*** may that be for those arguing for or against vaccines. Some vaccines are highly effective, have little side effects, and the illness is both contagious and very dangerous, vaccinating against them makes sense - polio for example. Other diseases we are vaccinating for today are “lifestyle” diseases such as HPV. You will likely get this virus only if you engage in sexual behaviors with someone that has it. Should that really be “mandatory?”

***This is why you’re supposed to have a doctor, who is supposed to use his brain and recommend a course of action best suited for you, which also takes into consideration your personal values.***

However, America today has mindless flowcharted health care where you can replace most doctors with a tablet providing pre-scripted solutions based on certain diagnostics. We have conveyor belt health care that is managed centralized and it sucks, just like it sucks in all places that attempt to create a socialized top down health care system. We simply have a private store front (insurance companies and hospitals), but the “standard of care” is prescribed. Your health care provider basically just relays whatever they are told and they don’t deviate from the path since insurance won’t pay or they open themselves up to a law suit.

No.

I was answering the question

Can society require that anti-vaxxers take all inoculations (especially measles) if they take the Covid vaccine?

in terms of how they can justify it, while arguing against it. And that any Covid-19 vaccination prevents infection and or transmission is still not proven and requiring all to be vaccinated against a virus that is a danger to only about 0.33 of the population is not warranted. Those with primary comorbidities and in nursing home type settings should be the focus, and which they are.
