Yep. Also seen a guy take paternity leave for six weeks but spread it out over 12 with week on a week off schedule. Mean while the woman in the office could not do the same. They could have the six weeks off but could not spread it out over 12 weeks like the man could. They had to take their six weeks all at once and get back to work.

Many years ago I worked for a company that had 6 weeks of maternity leave strictly for bodily recovery immediately before and after birth, plus two weeks of new parent leave that could be taken any time during the next year. One new father counted that as 20 golfing afternoons.
