“Global dimming”, caused by air pollution, used to be a big worry because it disrupts rainfall patterns (especially the tropical monsoon) and causes droughts, famines, etc. If the rains are disrupted in the tropics there will be heatwaves instead. This has the potential to make whole regions uninhabitable. Many of the effects are what they claim climate change will do. They’re trying to bring their catastrophe scenarios to fruition.

We experienced “global dimming” in the year or two after the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa. Far ranging crazy weather patterns.
