Ted Nugent was the Opening Act for Blue Oyster Cult when I saw them in 1975 at Long Beach Arena, 4th row, center stage
Went to many many rock shows in the 80s...Ted Nugent was THE loudest hands down....it was actually painful. No wonder he’s half deaf. Still a good show though.
“I saw ‘Nugent and the ‘Cult last night, dude!”
“Awesone! How were they???”
“Who?”
“The ‘Cult, dude! BOC!”
“What?”
“How were the Blue Oyster Cult, man! Did they ROCK ot what???”
“Nobody threw any rocks, man. I was watchin’ the show!”
“Jeez! Are you effin’ deaf? I just wanna know—”
“—Oh! Nugent played loud man! Effin’ LOUD! I couldn’t even hear the ‘Cult, dude! But I know they ROCKED!”
I love Blue Oyster Cult! I own many of their albums, but not one (sorry to say) of Ted Nugent. I should have replied to #6.
I saw Blue Oyster Cult in Green Bay around ‘77. A band I had never heard of before opened for them... Cheap Trick.
