The problem with these tree huggers is they’re not smart enough to realize where the other end of that charger cord is plugged into. Lol

Nobody will be able to give up gasoline until the electrical power infrastructure is upgraded to take care of it. They can hardly keep things running of enough electricl power now without rolling brownouts and the occasional blackout.

#1:
"I am waiting for when they start sacrificing virgins to appease Gaia." They already engage in human sacrifice to make electric vehicles possible:
- Chinese slave labor to make the batteries and components.
- Child slave labor in Africa to mine the rare earth elements for the batteries and electronics.
- American wage slaves to pay for and subsidize this insane pipe dream.
Without these slaves, electric vehicles would be prohibitively expense. In fact even now the prices for electric vehicles are beyond the reach of most average people.

How efficient are those electric cars in the winter? How far will they go when it is 10F, slipping in the snow and ice, and your heater, defroster, lights, wipers, etc. are zapping your battery?
If you get stuck away from a charger, how do you recharge? Instead of a quick can of gas and a jump-start, you will need to be towed. Time to buy futures in towing companies?

Well, they’re already sacrificing the innocent to their mighty demonic abortion god of self; Molech.
The rest of us can’t be far behind.

I heard on Facebook that you can recharge your electric car simply by parking near a 5G cell tower.

since they will never have the generating capacity, will owning a car require approval from the Queen?
or will it be a lottery???

And when the blackouts come, and they fucking will, good luck with that 8 hour charge.

Each car will come with a specially bread hamster who runs on a treadmill - you are responsible for care and feeding, also for the permit to own said hamster.

It appears few have bothered to consider the tremendous new requirements for electricity and associated infrastructure.

Electric Cars => fewer moving parts. Less spare part inventory to be maintained for replacements over the product lifetime.
For auto manufactureres, it's about the $$$$, not the environment.
It's the same reason railroads switched from steam to diesel.

The govt push to electric cars will come via raising the price of petroleum fuels drastically. It won’t be availability of gas cars that’s a problem, it will be the cost to operate them.

Wishful thinking.
Making a statement, hoping people will start believing it, and make it happen.
Not gonna happen soon, nor in the next few years, nor in this century.
To force people to go all electric, means shutting down most or all economies. Oil is the life-blood of all economies, and electric cars cannot compete; not now, and not ever.
I might go for a hybrid vehicle though, as long as it can give me Florida to NY without having to 'refuel'.
