Church attendance was dropping steadily over these last decades, and this just justified more non-attendance, without guilt.
Ironically. with so many denominations now with rainbow, cafeteria plan doctrine, non-attendance is probably a better thing for those souls. Reading the Bible at home would be true Word, unadulterated by, say, apostate rainbow female pastors.
