He had little choice. President Trump held out as long as he could to try to get a better deal and the whole weight of D.C. was against him.

I believe so many go to D.C. with great intentions. They’ll go and make a difference...then reality sets in.
Just with Trump, he entered their sandbox. The deep state, corrupt politicians, entrenched bureaucrats, globalists and propagandists looked at this outsider and said, “ Oh no! You’re playing on our turf now. We make the rules!”
As soon as they realized Trump was going to be a president for the people...they conspired to cripple his presidency.
We now know for certain the depth of the corruption. They’ve been exposed. Scary to think where we go from here.
