Why would they cave? They got what they wanted.
Senate and Congress had to pass a Bill to fund the Government.
Government is not funded for 45 days.
It’s a 5,000 page porkulus bill. There are more than 1001 ways to tie up the funds for rolling 45 day periods.
Of course, the funds have to be spent before the end of the fiscal year (September ??)
And, there is a new Congress early January.
