I found this account of what happened in 2005 when Democrats objected to the inclusion of Ohio’s electoral votes.

So in 2005 the vote on whether or not to count electoral votes that were objected to was done by simple majorities in both the House and the Senate. I would expect the same procedure to be followed in 2021.
Well now we agree. Except Pence will go coward. Pence was brought in as VP to work the Senate and use his DC connections. He will NEVER go against the swamp. He may be a good man and a good Christian (only God knows) but he was in the swamp before he was Trump’s VP.
Pence doesn't decide anything. If any votes from any state are challenged, or if there are more than one slate of electors from a given state, then Congress decides whether to accept them or which to accept. If either House votes down the challenge then the votes are counted. And unless both houses vote to accept the second slate then the slate that is certified by state authorities is the one that is counted.
Trump is a man of peace. Consistently. I don’t expect that to change.
At least Biden won’t be able to act until February.
Meanwhile the gov will be shut down. Though that never seems to save us any money.
And maybe news of the pork and cronyism can be gotten past the media to the people.

We are just pawns in the game of life. Kings, potentates and Presidents are still just pawns in life. When they die they soil themselves just like the rest of us and then become bug food like the rest of us. They are rarely remembered fondly as history tends to judge politicians badly.
Truth be told I do not see God's hand in any of this. I see our failures in the past and present to reign in our leaders. Because there was free money to be had. We sold our nations souls for Obama phones.

Never fail to crack me up when people say that the Constitution’s requirement that the VP “shall” open “all” the votes means that the VP doesn’t have to open “all” the votes. Just the ones he likes...
Glad there will be those slates there, but I doubt anyone will back them since they just represent the views of a few Members of those legislatures and not that of a majority.

I’m sort of sure 10 good men could be found on FR alone. But surely in the entire country God may see 10 good men.
I do believe the president is a man of faith. His first election was a miracle.
